Removing The Splinter

Oil on Canvas
122 x 87cm
2025
Removing the Splinter evokes how a tiny piece of wood or glass can be so painful, if left can become infected. A metaphor, for how small incidents, that we allow to fester inside our minds, can become major irritants. It can stop us from moving forward both physically and emotionally. The fable of the tortoise and the hare, a fable, teaches that slow and steady wins the race. But until the tiny splinter, be it a real one or a stuck limiting belief is removed, we are stuck. Our ‘insightful’ self reaches in and extracts the issue.
