The telescope that she holds, is a means of ‘seeing’ something more clearly yet it remains at a distance. This works explores our duality of selves. The figure observes a self that is ‘asleep’, unconscious to the limitations she exists within. Suspended upside down, like a child playing on a swing, it shows an aspect of her awake nature, observing the ‘real’ world. Both exist concurrently.

A kiln dried timber stretcher frame is custom made to order to suit your chosen print size, with a profile depth of 40mm (D) with additional corner bracing for larger sizes. Canvas stretching is hand finished with tight neatly folded corners.
